Industrial solutions

Most modern industrial production processes produce wastewater, which need to be treated according to the final discharge possibilities. Therefore, industrial wastewater treatment poses a double challenge: for both types of industries:

  • Discharge of industrial wastewater to the environment or to municipal collection systems requires industry-specific treatment technologies, in order to minimize the environmental impact of problematic industrial residues on the receiving system.
  • In many cases, correct treatment processes can enable in-plant reuse of the treated effluent, thereby reducing production costs and optimizing plant processes.

In addition, water-intensive industries (such as refineries, fertilizer factories, food processing, textile, etc.) are often dependent on wastewater treatment capacities for the expansion of production; in other words, the wastewater treatment system may be a bottleneck limiting production expansion.

The Food & Beverage market includes diverse industries, such as bottled water, food packaging, crop irrigation, carbonated & non-carbonated beverages, dairy plants and meat and poultry processors. The technology that EVROPRO offers has been successfully used in these related industries for control of pathogen microorganisms and through all these process the water doesn’t change any physical characteristic.

Pharmaceutical Industry

The technology that EVROPRO uses for water treatment for example in the pharmaceutical water system has several inherent advantages. Nothing is “added” by UV light to the water stream such as colour, odour, flavour, chemicals or harmful by-products. We only offer fast, efficient, cost effective and environmentally responsible solutions.
As a result, the systems that we use can significantly reduce the microbial counts by destroying at least 99.9% of the bacteria present in the influent stream, when installed at the appropriate locations.

Marine Industry

For marine applications we use only the most effective solutions that have been successfully deployed in diverse industries for several years. The disinfection of drinking water, waste water and recreational water are a chemical-free and a very effective method of inactivating a wide range of waterborne pathogens on-board ships.

The disinfection systems for drinking water ensure the health and safety of the ships’ personnel by supplying a safe and ample amount of pathogen-free, clean fresh water. Also, the effluent water from wastewater treatment systems on-board ships can be effectively treated by the technology we provide before being discharged into the ocean in an environmentally friendly manner. Ships featuring swimming pools must treat the pool water to ensure it remains clear and clean, free from harmful substances, bacteria, viruses, algae and other pathogens and is suitable for use by swimmers.

Recreational Water Industry

For both public and private pools and splash water parks, disinfection plays a key role as a required treatment step. Swimming pool water must undergo treatment in order to remain clear and clean, free from harmful substances, bacteria, viruses, algae and other pathogens and suitable for use by swimmers. Of particular concern in swimming pool waters are the formation of chloramines and chlorinated organic compounds that are known to give rise to swimming pool smell and eye, nose and throat irritation. We take all this into consideration, and we provide the best solution for a quality time.

Aquaculture Industry

The lifeblood of today’s aquaculture industry is the water used to incubate fish eggs and rear juvenile fish. Water abundance and purity continue to decline while disease concerns found in source waters continues to increase. This phenomenon is due in part to the increased demand for water from growing urban areas, continued pollution of our natural waters and the introduction of new, pathogenic micro-organisms to natural waters through a variety of routes: bird, animal and human activities, including ballast water discharge.
Simultaneously, increased consumption of fish due to reported Omega-3 health benefits has led to an increasing demand for higher stock densities in the same hatchery footprint. This brings many challenges to a rapidly growing industry, but we make sure that we offer solutions which can help to overcome them. The disinfection systems that we provide are available in both closed pipe and open channel arrangements to provide the greatest flexibility to the hatchery.

Metal Industry

Cooling waters used in the production of iron, are inevitably contaminated with products especially ammonia and cyanide. Production of coke from coal in coking plants also requires water cooling and the use of water in by-products separation.

The conversion of iron or steel into sheet, wire or rods requires hot and cold mechanical transformation stages, frequently employing water as a lubricant and coolant. Also, many steel industry wastewaters are contaminated by hydraulic oil. In order to dispose of these contaminant agents in a proper manner, the wastewater plants should be equipped with a high quality technology according to their needs.

HDC (Heavy Duty Cleaner) is a water-based, dilutable, universal cleaner designed for heavy degreasing and cleaning. Cleaning applications include hydrocarbon residues, crude oils, asphalt, tar-like deposits, oil and grease. HDC is a highly effective agent for cleaning storage tanks, tank walls, tank wagons and trailers, heat exchangers, pipelines, floors, equipment, vehicles and machinery.
